Rules for using The Good App.

Operator and contact

Your agreement is with Gabriel Briceno Jesus Rojas, operating The Good App as a sole proprietor. Postal address: 1217 Manor Drive South, Weston, FL 33326, United States. Contact support@thegood-app.com for support, legal inquiries or complaints.

Agreement and eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use The Good App. If your local law requires a higher age or a parent or guardian’s permission, that requirement also applies. Provide accurate information. Creating an account requires an age declaration; accepting these terms and the Privacy Policy acknowledgement is recorded separately. Community contributions additionally require agreement to the Community Guidelines and explicit permission for AI safety review.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for activity on your account and for protecting your sign-in method. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. Do not sell, transfer, or impersonate another person’s account.

Purpose of the service

The Good App helps people discover constructive, source-backed news and share positive community posts. User posts are community content, not verified journalism, and are presented separately from publisher and editorial stories.

Your posts and permissions

You keep ownership of original content you submit. You confirm that you have permission to share it. You grant The Good App a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, display, translate, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, promote, secure, and improve the service. You may delete your content subject to safety and legal retention needs.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for hate, harassment, threats, exploitation, sexual content involving minors, graphic violence, illegal activity, scams, spam, impersonation, privacy violations, malware, dangerous instructions, or deliberately deceptive content. Positive framing never permits false claims or concealed harm.

Moderation and reporting

Submissions may be reviewed by automated safety systems and people before or after publication. We may label, limit, reject, or remove content and may restrict or suspend accounts to protect users or comply with law. You can report content in the app and appeal a moderation decision through support.

Location and nearby features

If you grant location permission, the app may use device or profile coordinates to rank nearby stories and projects. You can disable device location permission or remove saved profile location. Distances are estimates and should not be used for emergency or navigation decisions.

Editorial content and third-party links

Publisher stories, external sources, sign-in providers, advertisements, and linked websites are operated by third parties. Their content and availability are governed by their own terms. The Good App original articles use AI-assisted writing and automated checks against supplied source material. These checks are not independent fact verification or a guarantee of accuracy, and do not imply endorsement by a publisher or agency. Credits and supporting links identify where information came from.

Subscriptions and advertising

The optional ad-free plan is a monthly, automatically renewing subscription purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play. The store shows the localized price, billing period and any offer terms before confirmation. Payment is charged through your store account. Cancel before the next renewal through that store’s subscription settings; access normally continues through the paid period. Restore purchases in the subscription screen using the same store account. Deleting the app or app account does not cancel a subscription. Request refunds through the store; mandatory consumer rights still apply. A labeled testing preview is temporary and does not charge you or automatically start a paid subscription. Ads are separate from editorial stories and do not guarantee or endorse advertiser claims.

Intellectual property

The app, brand, software, design, and service materials belong to The Good App or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, scrape, disrupt, or commercially exploit the service except where applicable law expressly allows it.

Service changes and availability

We may add, change, pause, or discontinue features for product, legal, safety, or maintenance reasons. We work to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. It is not medical, legal, financial, emergency, or professional advice. To the maximum extent allowed by law, The Good App is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses caused by use of the service or third-party content.

Ending an account and changes to these terms

You may delete your account from Profile → Settings → Delete account or request help at thegood-app.com/delete-account. We may restrict or close accounts for serious or repeated violations and offer an appeal through support. Material changes to these terms will be communicated in the app or another reasonable channel; where a new acceptance is required, we will ask you explicitly. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law.
